The future of drilling, and any other industry for that matter, rests on the people that make it up. Looking ahead, a huge percentage of the workforce is slated to retire and when the baby boomers go, a big decline in drillers and output is bound to occur. That's unless today's veterans focus heavily on training and recruiting. But, if drilling isn't popular among the upcoming generation, it's going to be hard to even get to the training and recruiting steps.
